Ts & Cs

Customer Satisfaction

At Just One Chocolate nothing is more important to us than your enjoyment of our chocolates, all the way from initial order to enjoying the last of our fresh chocolates. We like to listen to our customers whether they come and meet us at the fairs or whether they found us on the Internet. So, if you have any questions, suggestions, comments or something went wrong we would love to hear from you. Please email us on info@justonechocolate.com or you can telephone us on 07968-489082 between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. We will then respond as quickly as we can.

Making A Purchase

We have tried to make our online shop as easy to use as possible and will continue to add more information and pictures to help you understand your purchase better. All the products can be added to your shopping cart and you can then use our Checkout system to provide order details as well as pay for your order.

To pay we allow a number of different ways: BACS Bank Transfer, PayPal, Credit/Debit Cards. As a small business a BACS transfer is the most cost-efficient way for us to do business but we use PayPal to allow you transfer existing funds or to use any Credit/Debit cards you may have. PayPal transactions are made via the secure PayPal portal. The billing entity will show up as “Just One Chocolate”.

Allergens

Our product labels specify the allergens our chocolates contains and details of specific flavours can be found on our website. While our chocolates are made in kitchens where nuts, dairy and wheat are handled we do try to reduce any cross-contamination wherever possible. This means that we will create nut-based chocolates in completely separate runs to other chocolates. If you have any questions or concerns, then please do let us know.

Cancellation of orders

As a UK-based operation we comply with the Consumer Contracts Regulations from 2014 (Which do a nice summary site if you would like more information at http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/regulation/distance-selling-regulations). However, these regulations restrict your right to cancellation when applying to perishable foods such as our fresh chocolate. As a result, we cannot accept a cancellation if the chocolates are already being prepared. And once we have completed your order (and have prepared it for delivery) we cannot accept any modifications (such as more items).

If you are not satisfied with the order then please contact us as soon as possible (see below for contact details) and then return the products at your own costs within 24 hours of receiving them using a next-day delivery service. We cannot refund any orders not returned to us within the specified period or where the product is no longer wanted or considered unsuitable.

Who are you dealing with?

Just One Chocolate is the sole trader enterprise owned by Holger Marsen, our head chocolatier. So if you see his name mentioned anywhere in your transactions then don’t be alarmed.

Postage & Packing

We charge Postage & Packing based on the weight of the order and use Royal Mail to send your chocolates UK First Class to UK Mainland, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands & Isle of Man post codes. To ensure that the chocolates reach you in perfect condition (nothing is worse than their delicate shells crashing to the ground) we send our chocolate via Royal Mail’s “Signed For” service so that the parcel will stay en route for a minimum amount of time. This does mean that you need to have somebody available to receive the package, but we will keep you informed of our expected shipping date so you can let us know if any particular date does not suit you. If nobody is available we cannot accept liability for any deterioration of our chocolates.

Product Availability and Order time

All of our products and packaging are subject to availability and so occasionally we need to make changes to your order. We will always discuss this with you ASAP after your order is received and provide a refund if appropriate.

Since all of our fresh products are made to order there may be a delay of 3-5 working days before we are able to send out your order. If you have a particular date in mind then please add that to the order and we will confirm this as soon as possible.

Credit Card Security

All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. For your safety Just One Chocolate does not receive nor hold any customer credit card details and they are not held in clear text on any web site.
